Another favorite of mine is "The Notebook"

James Garner and Gena Rowlands as the older Allie and Noah (Duke)

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams the younger couple

Allie has Alzheimer's and the whole movie is about Duke reading a notebook to her that she wrote about them before she lost her memory.

My favorite lines in the movie are when the younger couple has lost touch for the past 7 years.. she comes back into town and they have spent the day together out on a lake.. it starts to rain.. they get back to the dock.. and she starts to walk off.. he runs after her

Young Allie: Why didn't you write me? Why? It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late. (she's engaged to someone else)
Young Noah: I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year.
Young Allie: You wrote me? (her mother had intercepted all the letters)
Young Noah: Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over ..
they kiss.. the next scene is him carrying her up the stairs to the bedroom..
