Default High fiber dog food

Ok...You all know Gotti has issues. He is my current problem child. He is doing so great on his bland diet. He is back to almost normal. He has one last issue that I am going to take a survey for.
It has always been common for him to have loose stools ever since we've had him. The doctor has done multiple fecal exams and no worms or any problems like that. Shortly after we had gotten him the vet recommended a food that was higher in fiber. We did this for a while and it didn't really seem to help. I started to worry because the only dog food I could find with a high fiber content was senior food and mind you Gotti was only 1 at the time so I worried that he wasn't getting enough nutrition from senior food as he was still growing at this time. Well since he was sick a couple of weeks ago his stools have been even looser (diahrrea). Like I said in other posts I am going to go to the puppy store this weekend to buy a better food for him. I was wondering if anyone knows of a dog food with a high fiber content that isn't senior food? Or even if the make it, I was thinking of looking for a fiber supplement for dogs. Any one know if they make puppy fibercon...lol? I almost have him completely back to normal. I have his mouth end fixed now I need to get the other end fixed!

Erica - Science Diet or Nutro. Look for the High fiber Bag....

Default Re: High fiber dog food

hm...Shadow used to have a similar problem. She kept getting the squirts and she was also having anal glandl problems but after i switched to this holistic food, she's been healthier than ever. Its Eagle Pack Holistic (Salmon & Anchovy) It has peas, carrots, oatmeal, apples, salmon, herring and anchovies. She's doing great on this food. Her stool is nice and firm and in two years, she hasn't had a single problem with her anal glands or runny poops! Its a bit more expensive, but according to the vet she's in great shape. She was a bit overweight but since switching to this food, she eats the same amount but is maintaining a healthy weight.
Here's a link for the information
