Ok! I have not been on the forum in a long time .. so I am just catching up on this thread now .......

This still SCARES me to death.

Me tooooo. My dogs have always thrived on Purina products, Im glad that purina chow wasnt part of the recall, sometimes its hard to switch brands and get your pets used to the change..of course, I would have stopped in a new york minute giving it to them if I even had an inkling....I asked the Pet. Dept manager about how the recall has been affecting the pet food sales at Walmart and she said BIG TIME..but they are absolutely making sure anything they put on their shelves has been cleared by the FDA for sale.

I have bought my pups the Pedigree treats to give during the week and for slipping Gidget's Ecotrin in. I feel this is a good thing to know that this is not on the recall list. I am scared that once I start getting this for them it will go on the list though. Does anyone else feel this way?

Yes, I know what you mean, Beth. But there hasnt been any more recalls lately, as far as I know. Just keep an eye on the tv news and newspapers. Hopefully this has ended!!!!

I hope so too. I understand that the Dingo bones are for a different reason but they were recalled too, very scary.

This has just been so much to comprehend. NOW all I'm hearing about is how it's effecting the farm animals. Finding this whatever in their urine!

I know I read where they were finding traces of melamine in pigs. Oh My God What Next???

Tonight on our local news they are saying they aren't having to put the pigs down they can stay alive but they can't use them in food processing at all. Like that won't happen right? If someone was cruel enough to intentionally taint the animals food, like they wouldn't be cruel enough to do the same to humans?????
