Default Thunderstorms good or bad?

Are they ignored by your pets or do your pets run and hide? With Gidget and Dexter they do not seem to mind it at all. Although today we had tornado warning sirens going off, Dexter ran and hide. Gidget barked at it. This is Mickey's (the parakeet we found on our wild bird feeder) first siren that I am aware of. For that matter her first thunderstorm that was really booming. She did absolutely fine. She sort of scolded the first boom and then just chatted like normal after that.

Does anyone have any funny stories about their pets and thunderstorms?

I will tell you that Gidget is a tomboy most of the time, but she hates the rain...it gets her wet....she hates going outside in rain. She needs to be reminded to go to the bathroom and hurry in.

My cats are terrified of thunder storms. They all hide under the bed. Raven barks at the thunder and doesn't seem to be too scared. But she hates getting her paws wet as well. Get this one ... She hates it in the rain, but yet she will swim for hours ..

The only one afraid of storms and loud noises is Holly. She trys to become part of my skin. If there is a storm shes right up against me.
