The Pet Diaries Part IV: My New Fur Baby Kai

Hi again everyone,

It's time for Part IV of the Pet Diaries. A lot has happened since last time, consisting of our newest addition, a Bengal Snow Leopard kitten formerly known as Diego, but as he's still a baby I renamed him Kai because I've always like that name. My fur and feather babies will now tell you how they're all adjusting to our newest fur baby:

Rags - New kitty means new playmate! But Kai keeps hissing at me, he thinks I'm tryin to hurt him but I only want to play! Cassie says when he gets fully settled we'll be best pals, I hope so because I LOVE having new playmates!

Pebbles - A new kitty? No one consulted me! But I suppose he's sweet in his own way, he acts a lot like my old friend Buster, maybe Buster came back as a really different looking kitty? I'll have to wait and see . . .

Rossi - I've been feeling really grumpy since baby Kai came, he's nice really, but he wants to play ALL the time, and I just want to snuggle on my new sofa. When will youngesters learn?

Ash - Now I know how the other cats felt when I came, but I wasn't a kitten so it's a bit different. Kai's like my shadow, always following me around and ALWAYS wanting to play like Rossi said. Sassi says Kai's like a kitty who was her playmate before but died, Max. Well if Kai plays with Sassi then I can sleep in my cosy leopard print house in peace! And Cassie still gives me lots of hugs so I can't complain.

Sassi - Kai's great, I FINALLY have someone to play with after all this time! Max was my best playmate but he went to heaven after a car hurt him. No one else plays like he does, except Rags but he's a bigger dog, so he can't play hide and seek with me upstairs!

Baby Boy - SQUAWK! New kitty cat! Lots of running! Gives me weird looks! Long as he doesn't disturb my music time! SQUAWK!

Holly - ZZZZZZZ . . . What's that? Oh Kai, new kitty, really small doesn't bother me, so okay, yeah really okay . . . ZZZZZZZ

Kai - I LOVE my new house! Lots of new friends to play with, I have my own kitty house here with me and my own bowl, and Cassie's Mum got me a bright blue new collar to match my eyes, and it has a lucky 4-Leaf Clover on it! Doggy is big, scares me a bit, older kitties won't play much but Sassi's tonnes of fun! Parrot makes funny noises and big mouse in living room doesn't talk much. You'll hear more from me and my new family very soon

Molly: Woke up today with Henry's tail in my mouth. It was finally warm in the house. Mom was all snuggled up beside me. It was great, other than the tail in my mouth. Had a good breakfast at 5am. Mom didn't want to go back to bed right away, so I hung out in Aunt Mary's room. She snores. Had to go out in the cold to pee. It was funny steam came off of it. Played with Henry for a little while until he chewed on my leg. It made me mad. I went back to bed. Had to pee again.. Me and Henry went outside in the backyard.. Rosie and that little yappy dog was at the fence.. we talked to them for awhile. Came in the house. Mom gave us a little snack. Went back out to see if Rosie and Yappy were still there. They weren't. Hung out in the sun for a little while until Mom hollered that it was too cold... to come in. Mom, Henry and me snuggled in the bed and took another nap. It was a good day.

Henry: I was all comfy snuggled in the bed.. some bell started ringing.. Molly bit my tail.. it was time to get up. I'm kinda getting the hang of this getting up at 5am stuff. I was confused at first. But my family talks about Molly and sugar and shots and insulin and she has to eat at a certain time. I guess whatever it means.. it's working.. Molly looks good.. she plays with me.. I'm looking good and feeling healthy so this 5 am stuff isn't so bad. Had some good eats this morning. Gramma warms our food up in the morning. It tastes so good. I like warm food in a bowl. Went outside with Molly to pee.. OMG it was cold. I'd breathe and you could see my breath. We didn't stay out long. Came back in and played with Molly for awhile. She got mad at me cuz I played too rough and she went back to bed. I laid by Gramma while she was on the computer and chewed on a toy. Me and Molly went outside for awhile and talked to some neighbor dogs that came over. They're silly. I like them. We had a snack. I got caught licking Gramma's bologna sammich. I thought my first name was Henry.. turns out that's my middle name.. my first name is Dammit. I wonder when dinner is?

Lois: Slept had breakfast, slept
Diggy: Slept, looked for Tiffani, had breakfast, slept
Tiff: Slept, hid from Diggy, had breakfast, slept

Gidget: (scratching mommy's arm while she is in bed) Heeelllllloooooo here, time for outside.

Dexter: did someone say outside oh boy my favorite thing to do

Gidget: well hurry up it must be really bad mom keeps telling us if we like it out here so much she is going to leave us here, but I need to make sure noone other that doughboy peed on my lawn.

Dexter: who you calling doughboy, oh look more snow, let me go play and roll.

Mom: GET YOUR BUTTS IN HERE IT IS FREEZING OUT THERE.

Sad looks and tails between their legs, in they come, unwillingly.

Clooney Clan Comments

Molly: I'm back on antibiotics. They make me a little sick to my stomach. But I can handle it. It's better than having that bad infection again. Mom keeps wiping my behind when ever I pass her. I wish she'd stop. Aunt Mary gags when she does it.. that's kinda funny tho. I'm still getting those shots in my neck everynight. Mom got some different needles and they dont' bother me at all. It's not so bad. Other than the pills I feel pretty good.

Henry: Life is good. Three squares a day. Warm bed. Molly smells funny on her behind. Gramma was on the phone talking to someone called The Vet. I think I heard her say something about me going there Thursday. I wonder if getting "snipped" involves food? The sun is shining. It's a little cold outside. I have to hurry back out there. I have some more of the shed to chew off.

Tiff: I don't have time to update.. I'm sleeping
Diggy: If that DOG grabs my tail one more time..
Lois: I"m beginning to like it up here on top of the fridge.
