 Does anyone else do this? I send out birthday cards to my friend's pets from Gidget and Dexter. I do not spend a lot of money on them. But I did have a mailing address label made for them to send them out. I got them dirt cheap. I have many friends who are married with no two legged kids but do have the four legged kids. I thought since I consider my pups my children and I know their animals are their children fair is fair, right?! Just wondering.

| Re: Does anyone else do this? Beth, I don't send out cards, but I do call to wish them Happy Birthday! My brothers dog, Kasey just turned 7 in July and My sister in law and I made cupcakes (vanilla cupcakes of course with no icing) We put a candle in all 7 of them and we sat her on a chair in the diningroom! We sang Happy Birthday to her and WE blew out her candles for her!! My brother and my hubby thought we CRAZY ... But don't they deserve some celebration on their b-day too??

| Re: Does anyone else do this? Hmm, that IS a good idea..the member's birthday's are already in the Calendar, why not the pet's birthdays? Do you have permission to add events into the calendar rob?

| Re: Does anyone else do this? I too sign all of the critters names on all cards that go out from here. Some people think I'm nuts other's think its adorable. I think of all my critters as part of the family so why shouldn't they have a place on the card. |

| Re: Does anyone else do this? I too have to agree why shouldn't part of our family be included. From my perspective, (since we can not have to two legged kind of children,) I send the cards to my friend's children from my children. It is very inspiring to know that sometimes they have acceptance in a situation that is out of our hands with consequences. Not many people understand the bond a parent can have with two or four legged children....I am very lucky to have friend's in the same situation that my husband and I are in, so understanding from a friend is nice. Especially when certain family members (outside this home) make comments about a pet not being a "real" child. Thank you all for making me feel as if I am not crazy.
