Margarita Pie

Crust:
1 1/4 cups crushed pretzels
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup white sugar

combine crushed pretzels, melted butter and sugar. Press into a pie pan.

Pie:
2 limes, key limes are extra flavorful if you can find them; juiced and zested ( I didn't use the zest, too much trouble)
1/4 cup orange juice or orange Curacao
1/4 cup (or more!) tequila
1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 container, 8 ounces, thawed Cool Whip

Mix together lime juice, zest, orange juice, tequila and sweetened condensed milk. Fold in the Cool Whip. Spoon filling into the pretzel crust and chill at least 25 minutes.

Not the recipe that I was looking for, but it tastes really good.

I think once the blood comes through the top of the steak you flip it over right away and grill for a few more minutes.(3 or 4 perhaps)

Easy Chicken Tetrazzini

In a large skillet (I use my big electric no stick frypan) saute chopped onions and garlic in butter or olive oil. Add raw chicken pieces and brown all sides. Add salt and pepper to taste and then pour cream of mushroom soup and milk (2 parts soup to one part milk) over and mix and cover with lid til chicken is cooked. (I use 2 cans of soup) While this is cooking prepare pasta noodles and put in bottom of buttered casserole dish, later put chicken and sauce over noodles and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes and then add grated cheddar to top and bake for 5 or 10 minutes longer. Serve with side of veggies or salad.

Thanks! I will try that. I have found that just holding the steak over the fire is about right for me. LOL My husband says I could put a band aid on it and it would be back out grazing.

Cereal Cookies
Preheat oven to 350*

1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 egg
1 cup flaked coconut (if you like coconut, but it isn't necessary)
1 cup rice krispies
1 cup old fashioned oats (quick cooking ones work also)
1/2 cup chopped nuts, whatever kind you like. I'm partial to black walnuts, but pecans are tasty, too.

Cream sugars, margarine, oil, egg and vanilla. Sift flour together with soda and cream of tartar. Mix with sugar mixture. Mix well. Add coconut, rice krispies, oats and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and press down with fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

This recipe makes several dozen cookies. Kids love them, and they make a wonderful breakfast on the run.

Mushrooms (sliced or diced)
Mild Chilli Powder (amount depends on how hot you like it)
Beef Oxo Cube (optional)
Tom Sauce for added flavour.

Put about 1tbs of water in a pan add onions and sauté for a few minutes (don't have heat to high so as not to burn) then add mince and cook until browned.

Remove from heat and drain mince then before returning to heat add Chilli Powder (I add a little this point) and crumble in Oxo. Mix all this together.

Return pan to heat and add Chopped Toms, Kidney and mushrooms. heat gently.

Now I would add Tom Sauce to taste also more Chilli Powder if required.

Usually I cook this the day before I need it then on the day either heat in slow cooker or gently on the hob.

Tried it, it is delicious. I used baked beans and I got rave reviews from the family.
