Default US Citizens: Vote

All US citizens; don't forget to vote Tuesday. However you feel about the candidates, this is a historic election. Also, if you vote, you can complain louder!

Thats true...I guess I probably will go and vote..although I have strong doubts about just how important my vote is..I strongly feel that they should elect the President by popular vote,..all the votes of all U.S. citizens... not by how many electoral collages...i know it would be a huge task and effort to do that, but really..this is why so many people dont bother to vote..most of the time, your vote is worthless because of the way this country elects people. Right now i am more interested in issues in our state, like the one that wants to bring casinos to Ohio..(totally against that)..and also other issues to vote on that actually are determined by OUR VOTES..and not by people chosen by the government.

I totally agree. Hopefully someday the president will be elected by popular vote.

My step-son, who just received his masters, is running for State Rep and it is fun to see his enthusiasm and his determination to change things. Since he is running as an independent, he has a snowball's chance you know where to get elected, but I love hearing his ideas about change, which to me make a lot of sense. It is also a kick to watch Stephanie, my step-daughter, go from not wanting to be involved in any way in politics, to hearing her wanting to be involved in her brother's campaign.

Years ago I made a decision not to vote. As I've gotten older, I have come to appreciate the right we as Americans have to vote, especially women. Now I vote every year and every year I complain loudly about the outcome to any and all who will listen!

I am wishing GOOD LUCK to your stepson, Joy. Thats a wonderful accomplishment, to even be RUNNING for office, and I have a feeling he is going to go a long way in life, even if he doesnt get elected. But who knows? Maybe people will like what he stands for and perhaps he will get a lot of support!
