| Here in WI the weather has been in the mid to upper 90's with a heat index of 110-120. To say the least, HOT! My Gidget does not stay out in it long. Dexter wants to be outside in case his girlfriend comes by. They do not walk her during the heat. But he has to be there in case she does! What are your secrets to keeping your pets cool?

| LOL - That's a good one Beth. I'm one state over from you. I have to through my dogs out side they hate the hot weather. I'm lucky if there out 5 min's before there jumping on the door to come back in....LOL Each one has it's own air duct to lay by. So they stay nice and cool.

| Beth as you know I'm in Michigan too. If you have a yard why don't you get your dogs one of those kiddie pools. But get the solid plastic one not the inflated one because of doggie toenails. My dogs love theirs. Erica |

| We've had hot weather for a couple of weeks in a row, with days of 95F..way too hot. Luckily, it's starting to decrease now..this week should be much better and it looks like I can finally get some things done!

| Well Erica and Dar, Wisconsin has three more days listed as the really hot with heat index warning days, then it changes wednesday night when a storm rolls in. Supposedly thursday will be only 80 degrees and friday here should be 77. I will hope you get these temps too as we are neighbors. For everyone else...I hope relief is in site for all of us. Erica as for the pool idea, I have actually thought about it. I was told by my hairdresser (who just adopted a 4 year old yellow lab, and had to get some ideas too) that if you put a shower mat (those rubber mats that siton your shower floor and are inexpensive) dogs who are afraid because of the slipping, this helps with that. I am thinking of this saturday picking one up at Wal-mart. Since it is end of season for that it might be marked down and then I have one for next year and so on....thanks for the idea.

| Well in Canada, Ontario to be more precise we are also going through a heat wave. I think our weather is pretty close to what Michigan is getting. In fact last year someone in Flint release a balloon with helium in it and it landed in a tree just behind our property which goes to show the wind patterns. Back to the temperature it is 31 Celsius with a humidex of 36 Celsius which means it is about 98 Farenheight.......bloody hot!!!! My husband is on holidays thank goodness or he would die because he works at a plant that has no air conditioning. We don't have it here either so we just tuff it out. Today if we can get the boat in working order ( I broke the handle that pulls it in from the trailer thingy) we are going to go out on some water. Of course Lucy and Daisy will be coming and they love it so hopefully we will cool off a little.

| It's a lot cooler here in England now but I still carry a sports drinks bottle with water in it which Jake drinks from. It makes it a lot easier Jake drinking from a bottle as that way he can have a drink when ever he wants without having to carry a big bottle of water around and a dish (which he won't drink from when out anyway). Also this is better than him drinking the lake water which has algi on it and who knows what else in it.
