Just by joining a pet forum shows that you care! To me, a pet forum is a place to show the world how much you love your animals .. and we all know you love yours!

| Stacey, I just read Toby's story. I am so greatful to the foster parents for keeping him. I understand that he has medical needs that need to be met. $25.00 a month for medicine is not alot of money. It kills me that people would overlook this dog for that reason. His before picture looks alot like Gotti when I got him. Nothing to look at but skin and bones. But you have to look into an animal's eyes to really appreciate them when they are in that condition. To be honest Gotti was ugly on the outside when Ken and I decided to adopt him. Skin and bones, his coat was sunbleached and thin. You could see scars through the fur from his abuse. His ear infections were so bad his first foster mom thought he was deaf. But we didn't care! We took one look at his eyes and we knew he needed us just as much as we needed him! Now you see 2 years later he is just as beautiful on the outside as he is on the inside.

| Erica, We all know you didn't mean to have that story upset us, but we are very caring people and I think people who did not get upset are not in the right frame of heart. I would love to have this type of work be my permanent career postition. I would definately ask for a job if Stacey, you and me would be able to work there. That is everyone from the forum would like to work there and I feel we are all qualified, we would have such a blast. Who would call it work?! Thank you both for sharing these stories.

| OK So now I'm teary eyed again. I wish to thank Toby's foster home for excepting him into their lives. It makes me sick to think of the people that breed dogs just to get wealthy. They don't care about their health or anything. As Long as they make a buck!!! These people are criminals in my opinion and should be locked up. Man if I won the lottery I would open my house and land to the mistreated and misunderstood furry animals. Thanks for listening to me if you read this as right now I'm fuming! I Love the Pet Forum!!!!!!!!! ![]()

| These are the reasons I have as many pet's the city I live in will allow me to have. I have 4 beautiful pure bread dog's all of them were unwanted by someone and 2 were abused. Now they live with me they are all fixed well fed and up to date on vet care. I also have 4 rescue cats. Everybody get's along just fine and they are all house pet's with there own warm beds and you could say a little spoiled. If more people would take the time to save a life reather than make a buck there would be alout less great pet's being put to sleep.

| II am still crying over Sam. I wish there was so much more I can do. I would love to open a no kill shelter and contain as many animals of all breeds to prevent this from happening. I can't believe how cold Peggy had become to this. I just can't handle it, I know this came after years of doing this. What can I do to help. Both of mine were spayed/neuterd at age 6 months when it is prime per our vet.

It's ok I totaly understand why you posted this. When I went to college in 1998 in our class we were split into 2 groups 'spay or not to spay' I was on the 'for' side so I know what you are trying to say. As you know Jake was adopted & every time I look at the adoption web site I just wanna adopted them all & tears again catch my eyes. I'm glad you posted that story & so is Dave as I emailed it to him to read on his own as he to gets quite emotional but doesn't always like to show it
