thanks Stacey
I love all animals this year we have had a really sad year I had to put my 10 year old border collie down on June 1 as he was filled with cancer. Then on June 20 I had to put my 7 month old rottie down as she ended up getting the Parvo Virus and she had lost 17 lbs in 2 days, such a deadly disease. so Now we can not have any dogs for 6 months and that sure is killing me. However I have my 3 year old attitude cat with me LOL. Only wants loving when She decides is the time.
anyways I hope to hear from you again

Hi Wanda, welcome to the forum from me as well

Sounds like a tough time, I'm very sorry to hear your two dogs went to pet heaven recently. I hope your cat is taking good care of you, in her own special way Do you plan on getting another dog when the six months have passed?

Also, did I add pictures of your dogs to the site? If not, I'd be happy to add them.

Welcome to the Forum Wanda,
I'm so sorry to hear of your losses. I am a rottie owner as well and I can't imagine not having her. Keep your head up...the time will pass soon and then you can add to your family again.

Hi there, my name is Marjorie and I live in England. I was distressed to read the messages re the poor Dogs who lost their lives to Parvo. For 30 years my husband and I kept German Shepherds who all lost their lives to cancer. After our last Dog Sable died we vowed never to have another pet as it is soul destroying to have to "let them go". I know they are all in doggie heaven and some day we may see them again. Never a day goes by without us talking of them - Sue, Raja, Bonny and Sable. God bless all you Doggie Lovers. Marjorie.

Hi Marjorie,
You are right it is so heartbreaking to lose a pet. I vowed after our beagle Chester was put down due to an illness that i wouldn't have another.....but I did. And then Maggie our PitBull/Mastiff ran into the highway in front of the house we just moved into two weeks prior and I just had to have another. We ended up with Lucy Mastiff/Rottie/Cane Corso and Daisy who we think is a beagle or fox hound ???? Not sure she was a stray. I dread going through more losses which are inevitable when you have pets (unless I run out onto the highway myself and then I won't know when they are gone) but as that saying goes "It is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all"
