“This is a photo of my daughter's Border Collie, Sable. She had a terrible accident, escaped her collar and fell out of the back of the pickup truck and got hit by the back tire on her leg and shoulder. They immediately took her to the vet and he tried to save her leg, but, it soon became obvious, that it needed to be amputated. What a trooper she is, she does not know, that she is missing her leg and is just happy to be alive!” - Meri

"She's very lucky to have made it, it's a shame she had to loose her leg, i hate to see dog's in the back of trucks, hope this wakes up some people to the fact that terrible things can happen like this"

"What an adorable dog! Ive noticed that all the dogs Ive seen with 3 legs dont even notice. And when they are running its hard to tell.

"I am so sorry that Sable got hurt! I hope we all learn from her story!! Not that it was her owner's fault, but that happens alot more than people realize!!
