Chows Rufus and Sandy
“Our Chows Rufus and Sandy. Rufus on the left is Sandy's puppy. Mama is 5 yrs old and son is 4yrs old. My mother in law gave us Sandy with her litter of puppies to help guard our house. We had 3 break- ins and decided to bring Sandy and her puppies to our home. Needless to say, she is the best guard dog. But she is a lover. Neither her or Rufus are mean or agressive, they just protect their home. Rufus was the last puppy of the litter and no one wanted him. They said he was ugly. I am so glad he stayed with us. These are the first large breed dogs I have had and I LOVE them! Chows are loyal and loving dogs. I hope to have better pictures later. People are often misinformed about how mean they are. If you love them, they will love you many times over!” - Tanya

Posted by Lisa Taylor on 05/18/2006:"They are very adorable.as for me,i don't think any dog is realy mean unless they r raised that way.U can teach a dog to be protective,but,some people just seem to go to far.They just don't have the knowlege need,and don't take the time to reasrch it,before hand.So if they do get a little out off hand,then they r concidered mean.Thats unfair to any breed.Chows r very sweet,lovable ,dogs."
