Mini long-haired Dachshund Rudy
“This is my very fiesty mini long-haired dachshund, Rudy. He's 3 mos. old in this picture; he's six months old now and still he has his radar seek out and destroy his mom's stuff! How can something this cute be soooo bad!!!!” - Sandi

"Most dogs go through a chewing faze. We have had to deal with it with all the dogs we have owned and the best thing we've found is to get them stuffed animal toys. We have two small boxes full of them (most in rags) and our dogs still play with them and they're 8, 9 and 10 years old. When they chew on things they aren't supposed to, we tell them "NO!" in a loud mean voice. Then, we give them the toy and try to get them to play. If they shred one, we have a good laugh and get them another."

"Do doxies REALLY grow out of some of their brattiness? My 6 month old can shred a magazine better than any shredding machine on the market! Her best fete so far was emptying a bag of potting soil throughout the house because I was gone too long one day. I was able to stay unhappy with her for about 3 hours max - but she's the best snuggle bug - she and my Bichoodle are velcroed to me every night. Lovely little critters make our lives so grand."
