Fritz in the buggy
“SAVED FROM DEATH'S DOOR...Fritz is a Bichon mix that was adopted at a dog pound in North Carolina that frequently euthanized animals. I found him the day they were going to put him down. He huddled in the back of a cage scared, sick, and so sad. One of the employees at this facility told me not to adopt Fritz because he was mean.
Well, I love a challenge! So I adopted him as a Christmas gift to myself in 1999. This poor little fellow had everything imaginable wrong with him. It took me a year to nurse him back to health. The reason he was mean is because he was in pain. He has since become the friendliest dog I have ever encountered.
He has an enlarged heart and is not able to walk very far but he loves to be outside. So this is his mode of transportation when we enjoy the outdoors. Fritz and I now live in Sunny Florida and he continues to enjoy good health.” - Kit Danes
