Maggie, in the yard - Added: 04/26/2006

Maggie, in the yard
“Hi, My name is Maggie. Maggie is a feral cat, born at my house. We took Maggie, her sister and brother to have them spayed/ and or/ neutered, after catching them in a no hurt trap. We feed them and watch them play. But they wont let us touch them. Maggie's sister Molly looks much like her, but brother Mo is all black. Wish we could tame them. They are so much fun to watch play in the back yard.” - June

"My old feral cat "Rambo" has been around the neighborhood for several years but wouldn't talk to anyone or get near but after feeding and talking to him for what seemed forever he started talking and sometimes comes into the house to eat if I leave the door open so he knows he can get out again. Maggie is a beautiful kitty."

"I have a ferral cat named Worms. I tamed her. She came to the shelter totally wild and I fostered her. It took a month for her to let me touch her but she lived in my bathroom. Now she is a total mommas girl and I adopted her. There was no way I would stress her out bringing her back to the shelter. She is like my shadow. She still wont go to anyone else but me. Give them a chance, maybe bring them in the house into a certain quiet room and spend time with them one on one everyday. They will come around if they trust you enough. Kids will scare the crap out of them cause of the noise. Patience works tho."
