“This is Mischief, she's my 105 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab mix. She loves kids and we had one fun night with her and her witch costume. Thought you all might get a giggle out of this one! Mischief wil be 13 yrs old next month and has had her share of operations. She's a tough girl, but the most gentle dog (whats a dog?) I have ever owned. She can't run like the wind anymore as she has osteoarthritis in both front paws, but I did manage to teach her to "dance" of which she is very proud of and gets a "big cookie" when her little routine is done!” - Valerie Evans

"Today is 3/24/09 - Mischief's health has been going downhill for 2 years - heart problems, kidney failure, cancer, mass cell cancer tumors (too old of dog to take them out) and then the cancer spread into her lungs - for 2 days she wouldn't eat, panting constantly, just wanted to sleep - I brought her to her vets, she said he lungs wer filling with fluid and she was panting trying to breath. She was 4 days away from her 14th birthday in my arms. She passed so peacefully as I held her crying so hard, her head was soaked. Just b-4 they gave her the final shot, she managed to lift her paw and put it on my arm, The vet said she had never seen anything like that as she was on her way to doggie heaven (it wasn't just a muscle twitch, the vet said she done that with every bit of strength she had. Mischief I'll keep you in my Heart my angel, I will never forget you - we will met again someday-keep that wiggie tail going, I will continue loving you my sweetpea."

"I took this picture in October, guess it took awhile to post - anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for such nice comments on my 'little' girl. No one has told her she's a dog, she's our 'fur kid' and we are owned by her! Thanks again for the warm wishes. She just survived cancer surgery and 46 staples, she's doing quite well now that the staples are out, just can't wear her harness for awhile but thats ok with me! We'll have lots of time for walks."
