“This is our tabby and white kitten, Sam. Sam's Mom and littermates were abandoned in a vacant apartment (in triple digit Summer heat, with no food, water and no a/c, mind you), and the kittens had been left separated from their mother behind a closed door. Fortunately for all of them, a very kind man heard the mother, asked the apartment manager to let him in, and he rescued all of them. We now have Sam, and he is a very healthy, sweet, extremely spoiled little house kitty. He adores terrorizing our two 15 year old Russian Blues, and even loves the dog. As you can see, Sam enjoys crashing out on his back for a long nap :)” - Rhonda

"My Daisy (peke/pug mix) is also a rescue. We had just lost our Shih Tzu, Trixie, and we were devastated. I waited about a month and couldn't stand it, I had to get another dog. I ended up at a vet clinic that cares for sick animals at the pound. I wanted another Shih Tzu, but they didn't have any. The lady said "we have a peke/pug mix" and I said "no I want a Shih Tzu". I was walking out the door and I turned and said "let me see her". She put her on my lap and that was it, I had to take her home. I will always say Daisy was sent to us from up above, because she needed us and we needed her. We think she was about 5 years old when we got her, and we've had her for 6 yrs. She's getting old and beginning to have heart problems, so I know our together is limited, but I can't let go yet, I love her too much. Watch the site I will post a pic of "Day-Day", just be careful, just her pic might make you fall in love with her!!!!!"

"Thanks for all the sweet comments about Sam, you guys! His story truly does have a happy ending. The very nice man who rescued him and his family from that vacant apartment found good homes for Sam's siblings, and he ended up falling in love with the Mama, so she has a safe, forever home with him, where she will be loved and looked after. I'm going to go post a picture of Sam that shows how cute he is awake LOL. :)"

"It's been horrible to know what a monster did to all those kittens and their mother! May that horrible "person" have warm holidays too! I'm glad you have Sam with you now, he looks very comfortable on the sofa!!! XXX."
