Another picture of Skittles
“I just found this picture of my lost Skittles. It better shows her personality. I wish I knew how to get past this. I cry every day. I know she should not have been outside, but she was with me and wondered out into the street at the wrong time.” - Lynne J Samuels

"What beautiful pictures. Keep posting them. Skittles deserves to be remembered, she was such a special cat."

"I read your first entry and it brought tears to my eyes and so had todays! I hope that you know it was not your fault and you were just doing what you and Skittles normally do! I hope that you keep all the happy memories Skittles gave you anf let them warm your heart. I agree that maybe getting a kitten or cat from a shelter would help you with the grieving since you would be saving a life! I know it would never replace the love for Skittles, but you would be helping a kitty in need...only in your time though, when you are ready! May God help heal your heart!!"

"I know how you feel. I'm sure a lot of us do who view this site. It's never easy; no matter what the reasons. But, going to a shelter to get another friend, will definitely help. You'll be pleasantly surprised. And, then, you'll be able to think about Skittles without crying. Be strong! My heart is with you on this."

"I'm so sorry for your loss. You can't blame yourself. We lost our younger Chow this spring, and I kept thinking, "Why didn't I go our earlier?" or "What could I have done?" There's really nothing. I know the pain is intense and unexpected; I still grieve and it's been quite a few months. Think on the good times you had together, and allow yourself to cry when you need it. I pray you'll hold on to the good memories you have. God bless."
