I also remember the feeling of loosing your heart, but, you do come out of it.
It's funny, last night I had a dream of my Buster, and few of the boys that I lost and loved.
All in all, the total would have been something like 10 cats and 3 dogs. Today, only 3 cats and 1 dog.
Almost 2 years my oldest and dearest friend Binky died, and her kidneys went, and she was hospitalized, and she couldn't recover just around Thanksgiving, well Binky was also my Thanksgiving kitty too. I didn't think that I could survive, but it happened. Everytime I open up my cell phone, there is her picture.
See, they all are in my heart, my Boris, Billie, Buster, BaBa, Pretty Boo, Speedbump, Binky, Nada, Frisbee,
There is a story called Rainbow Bridge, a place where all our babies go, to wait for us, there they play until that day we reunite. Hope no one confuses your Buster as he is playing with my Buster. Kitty tag is awful fun."

I believe that we have soul mates in the animal world as well, and he was yours. I am so glad you dreamed of him being reborn - now he will bring someone else as much joy as he did - that was his job here, to be there for you. Once you are ready, some other kitty will appear that needs you to take care of him / her and love. Be strong... I know it is hard, and it hurts, but it makes them so worth it! You will feel better...I promise. I lost my boy Tonga (who has also been here on this site), and it still hurts. I do the same, when I see his collar, I cry sometimes too. I feel for you and my heart and prayers go out to you! Sandi"
Posted by Renee on 06/18/2007:"You have my deepest sympathy, my mom just lost her 17 year old cat due to diabeties, thyroid disease, tumor, we had to put him down, we had him cremated and put with his brothers ashes, he died last year in my mom's arms on mothers day, i grew up with those 2 cats, my heart still dies when i see their pic get another cat asap don't give yourself too much time to grief, thats what i did, i now have 3 "babies" in time your heart will heal, it will take awhile, again i'm very sorry for your loss we never get over losing our family members"
Posted by susan on 06/18/2007:"Cassie its so hard too lose a pet. We love our pets like our children. My little kitten "boss hog" died of a heart attack last august. I cried so much i got sick. No other cat can take boss hog place but i got me another kitten that looks just like him but its a little girl cat and i named her precious. She is a little mean where he wasn't. Precious has helped me through some real rough days. Hope you the best."
